AWOGC is known for freedom and liberty to worship God in spirit and in truth. The anointing power of the Holy Spirit breaks every yoke, restraints of religion and tradition are broken, burdens are lifted, and some people receive healing and deliverance. Dancing, praising, and signing in the spirit are normal. Prophetic utterances are released during worship. New songs are birthed, worshipers are free to pray, lay prostrate, and enjoy the presence of God.

 

During Prophetic worship, the portals of heaven are open, people experience love, joy, and peace beyond understanding while entering into the Lord’s rest. When the portals of heaven are opened; heavenly resources are made available for earthly ministry functions. This is the point in prophetic worship that the Lord pours out His blessings on all people.

 

This is new covenant worship. God in spirit and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. This is the new wine skin, born again believers, carrying the heavenly treasure, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. AWOGC culture loves to worship in the Throne Room and dwell in the presence of God.

 

This is who we are and this is what we do. We worship God in spirit and in truth. God is omnipresence and the Holy Spirit leads us into experiencing God’s presence.

 

Ephesians 5 and Colossians 3, tells us that both teaching and singing are important parts of worship. Teaching and singing have a firm biblical foundation. Teaching and preaching are led by the Holy Spirit and have a firm basis in Godly wisdom and the word of Christ. Singing is also inspired by the Holy Spirit and have firm foundation in hearts full of gratitude to God. In John 4:23,24 Jesus tells his disciples that believers must worship God “in spirit and in truth.” 1 Corinthians 14 also teaches us to pray and sing with both our spirit and our mind.
