Welcome to Apostolic Word of God Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland! We invite you to worship with us as we lift the Name of Jesus and dive deep into the truth of God’s Word.
Our heart is to help new and growing believers develop a balanced, Spirit-led, and well-rounded walk with Christ. At AWOGC, every service is designed to be interactive and engaging — where you’re encouraged not just to listen, but to participate, ask questions, and grow together in community.
This ministry is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ Himself as the Chief Cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)

Midweek is where we dig deeper into the Word together. Through guided, Spirit-filled teaching, we unpack the scriptures, grow in wisdom, and equip ourselves to live out our faith boldly. Questions are welcome, fellowship is rich, and the Holy Spirit always has His way.
Women’s Virtual Prayer Gathering
Join us every Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Zoom.
This is where women of faith gather to intercede, war in the Spirit, and pray heaven’s will into the earth. We lift up our families, our city, our leaders, and the nations. It’s a sacred time of unity, breakthrough, and fervent, Spirit-led prayer where strongholds are broken, lives are transformed, and miracles are birthed.

Fishers of Men Virtual Prayer Breakfast (Monthly, 1st Saturday)
Join us on the 1st Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. EST on Zoom.
Once a month, we gather virtually for a special time of brotherhood, fellowship, and focused intercession. This isn’t just a meal — it’s a Kingdom assignment. Men of God come together to break spiritual bread, share testimonies, pray for souls, and commission one another to be fishers of men in our homes, communities, and everyday lives.

In Gathering of the Saints (Periodic Event)
At appointed times, we come together for The In Gathering of the Saints — a sacred assembly dedicated to prophetic worship, fervent intercession, and fresh outpourings of the Holy Spirit. These gatherings are more than services; they are holy convocations where heaven meets earth, and God’s people unite to seek His face, hear His voice, and move in one accord. As prophetic songs rise and prayer fills the atmosphere, chains break, healing flows, and Kingdom assignments are birthed. Stay connected for upcoming dates and be part of what God is doing in these powerful encounters.
AWOGC Retreats (Held Periodically)
Throughout the year, Apostolic Word of God Church hosts special retreats designed to refresh the spirit, renew the mind, and realign hearts with the Father’s will. These are intentional getaways — sacred pauses from daily life — where believers gather for extended times of worship, prophetic impartation, teaching, rest, and personal ministry. Whether virtual or in person, each retreat is a Spirit-led journey of healing, restoration, and Kingdom equipping. It’s a time to be poured into, to hear God clearly, and to reconnect with divine purpose alongside like-minded believers.
